Rare Disease Day, marked on the last day of February every year, aims to raise awareness and facilitate access to medicine and treatment by the 300 million people around the world and more than 7 million people in Türkiye who have been diagnosed with a rare disease – defined as a disease that affects only one in 2,000 people or fewer – allowing their voices to be heard.
We wish our nation a rapid recovery after the major earthquake witnessed early this year. It is our hope that we will be able to reverse our losses in the shortest possible time, and continue our awareness studies on rare diseases in the future.
